Nolan Ryan

Throwing Heat the autobiography of Nolan Ryan. Nolan Ryan is an all-star pitcher that use to play in the MLB and is now in the Hall of Fame. He was born in Refugio, Texas; on January 31, 1947 when he was growing up he had 5 other siblings. When he was growing up he went to Alvin High in 1965 and was the pitcher of his high school baseball team. When came out of college he got drafted by the New York Mets then he went the Angels and then the Astros.

In his Career he had 5 No hitters and had the record for the most No Hitters. In 1979 he started for the American League in the All-star game. Nolan became a very famous baseball player and got 4,000 strikeouts in his Career. I thought this book was very good because it talks about his childhood and how hard he worked to get the MLB. If you like sport books this is a very good book because it’s about his accomplishments in the MLB.  http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/r/ryanno01.shtml

Romeo and Juliet

In Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare it seemed like it was a tragedy more than a comedy. It seemed like a tragedy because there was a lot of drama and the two families disliked each other. When people say it’s a comedy I don’t get where they got that from because nothing seems funny in the play except some words. There are a lot of deaths in Romeo and Juliet including Romeo and Juliet and Paris and Lady Capulet and Tybalt and Mercutio. Romeo and Juliet are in love and there love last through the whole play.

If you like dramas this is a good play to read for you because there is love and tragedies. In the end Juliet gets sleeping poison so she fakes her death so she doesn’t have to marry Paris. Romeo finds out she is dead and decides to kill himself with poison and burry himself with Juliet. But when he goes to do that he runs into Paris and they get into a fight and Romeo kills Paris.
